MeroShare login problems and how to fix them

Expired passwords, expired accounts, locked logins and the wrong DP: the MeroShare login errors that show up on issue day, and the fix for each.

Wrong DP selected

A common login failure is not the password but the DP. Choose the depository participant that opened your demat account, which is not always the bank your money is in.

Password expired

MeroShare makes you change your password periodically. If a login is rejected, log in on the MeroShare website, set a new password, then update it in any app that stores it. In SajiloShare, edit the account and enter the new password.

MeroShare or demat account expired

MeroShare and demat accounts have to be renewed. An expired account cannot apply, and the error often looks like a login problem. SajiloShare's Account Renewal screen shows the MeroShare and demat expiry date for each saved account so you can renew with your DP in time.

Account locked after failed attempts

Too many wrong passwords can lock the login. Contact your DP to unlock it, and do it before an issue opens because it can take a working day.

The portal is simply busy

On the opening and closing days of a big issue, MeroShare can slow down or time out. Applying early in the window, not in the last hour of closing day, is the most reliable defence.

Do all of this in one app

SajiloShare stores each MeroShare account once, applies for all of them in one run, checks every result together and shows your portfolio after charges and tax. Free on Android and iPhone.
